Contract for Senior Trip and Senior Activities

Academic Expectations:
Seniors must be in good academic standing in order to be eligible for ALL Senior Activities. Good academic standing is defined as having accumulated all of the required credits for grades 9, 10, and 11 as well as passing ALL scheduled courses, including but not limited to Physical Education and electives. Further, Seniors must also have passed or received a waiver for all of the required Regents necessary for a Regents Diploma. Student’s academic standing will be reviewed by the Administrative team to ensure eligibility.

STUDENTS THAT HAVE NOT MET NYS GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMENCEMENT.

Behavioral Expectations and Accountability:

Seniors who are on suspension or receiving a classroom removal will not be eligible to participate in Senior Activities, trips, celebrations, and/or Prom. In addition, Seniors who engage in repeated behavioral infractions will be prohibited from Senior Activities, trips, celebrations, and/or Prom. Examples of infractions include: lateness to school, violations of schoolwide electronic policy, disruptive behavior in and out of the classroom, horseplay, insubordination, trespassing, lateness from lunch, cutting, etc.

Attendance Expectations:

Attendance is crucial to academic success. Therefore, Seniors are expected to maintain an attendance rate of at least 90%. All students at Hudson High School of Learning Technologies, particularly Seniors, are expected to be present in their classes every school day unless legally absent for the following valid reasons in accordance with New York State Education Law: death in the immediate family, illness of the student, quarantine, court summons, work or school activity approved by school, observance of a religious holiday, State emergency, suspension.

I acknowledge that I have received and reviewed the Senior Contract. I understand that I am responsible for being aware of all policies and procedures contained in this contract. I understand that the criteria for eligibility must be met in order for me to participate in all Senior related activities, including Commencement. I also understand that the provisions of this contract are subject to change at any time and that I will be made aware of those changes when and if they occur. I understand that payment for an activity is not a guarantee of approved participation. In the event that payment has been made and an individual is found to be ineligible they will be issued a refund.
